General Business:
Jane has been approached by BOP Poly to ask if they could send their Marine Biology head to speak at a CATE meeting – everyone agreed that it would be good. Give them a time limit though!
Jane asked if anyone knew of their students having problems with entry into AUT Physio programme – one student she knew heard they were accepted far too late. No-one else had experienced problems although Barbara also had problems with Auckland Uni.
Good news stories
St Peters have contracted a woman to interview all senior students – working very well! Funded by the school and a great investment.
Norm Amundsen presentation – those that went found it very interesting and a new and good way of interviewing students
CPANZ hosted an HR promotion which was very interesting – the speaker okay but the networking opportunities were excellent
Barbara is looking for a speaker on Body Language – suggestions were Linda Hutchings, and Susan Law might have some suggestions
A one day workshop was mentioned by Career Services being held in Auckland and Rotorua.
Meeting closed at 5-20pm – the food and drink was delicious – thanks Trish!!!
