Canterbury/Westland Regional Report April 2008

Term 1 has been very busy with members networking at the various Tertiary instituition, Gateway, CPaBL Schools  meetings, Youth training Expos  and Careers Services Update etc.

Last night (1 April) we had our AGM  hosted at Natcol. Following refreshments, we had a short presentation and brief tour of facilities and computer suites.

Election of officers:

Chairperson (Maree Marquet/Villa Maria) and secretary(Viv Straight/Marian)  agreed to continue for another term Ann Archer/St Margarets our long serving Treasurer handed the books to Brett Fleming/ Middleton Grange who was elected unanimously to take over after her resignation was accepted with regret.

Two members voluntered to be nominated and were elected to add new blood to the re-elected committee.

Discussions were held on  proposals for topics and speakers for further general meetings. This will be continued in a planning meeting
