ADRIENNE DAVIES

Adrienne was the CATE President for over 2 years (2001 - May 2003). She managed this role with the efficiency, diplomacy and good grace that reflect Adrienne's natural skills. Her knowledge of Careers and Transition, and her vast experience, were valued by the National Executive. She played a pivotal role in the organisation of one of the first International Careers Conferences, which was held in Wellington. She lobbied for the concerns and issues of our members. Adrienne presented information to Conference in a professional manner and managed the AGM and National Executive meetings with decorum and a friendly approach.

Adrienne remained on Executive for 3 more years as Immediate Past President. The new President, Teri Nichol, who was new to the National Executive, especially appreciated her contributions and support. She had a wealth of information which was called on during many different discussions and was always willing to help out in any way she could. Her good humour and warm personality were also appreciated around the boardroom table and at dinner meetings.

In her tribute to Adrienne on the awarding of her Life Membership, Teri said she would miss her immensely and wished her all the best for her new career path.

(Thanks to Teri Nichol, Immediate Past President)
