CATE affiliation to the Careers Industry Council of Australia (CICA)

The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) Inc is the national peak body representing national, state and territory career practitioner organisations.

CICA (pronounced seeka) promotes and supports the lifelong and life-wide career development of all Australians through its involvement in policy development and best practice implementation. It is seeking relationships with other professional Careers organisations and invited CATE to affiliate. This means we agree to support and promote the vision and mission of CICA as well as represent our affiliation with CICA in an ethical manner which conforms to the Code of Ethics in the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Professionals.

SO WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AFFILIATION?

CATE members will receive:

• Copies of any electronic or print CICA newsletters,
• Access to the CICA website, except for any area/s restricted to "members only"
• Advance notice of, and invitation to participate in, CICA activities and events
  
• Permission to list that we are an affiliate of the Careers Industry Council of Australia (CICA)
• Right to put forward views and opinions on issues being considered by the council (unless members only)
• Right to propose issues to the Council for consideration
• If invited, the opportunity to attend as an observer some meetings of the council.
