About the Presenter:

Jim has a demonstrated track record of international achievement and recognition as one of the world?s thought leaders in career development. His tenth book on career development will be published in the USA by Routledge this year, and his other books are best sellers in the UK, Australia and USA. In addition his books have been published in at least nine other languages including Chinese and Japanese. He publishes extensively in the best peer-reviewed international career development journals, he is invited to keynote at the major international career development conferences and to present to organisations on career development (In the last 12 months he has presented by invitation in Vancouver, St Louis, Derby UK, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, and the rest of Australia). In the next 12 months he will be presenting in San Francisco, Vancouver, Ottawa, London and all around Australia. He has appeared on all major TV networks including regular presenting on Channnel 10, was the employment expert on ABC 702 for five years and writes a weekly career development column, the Brightside, for the Sydney Morning Herald and Melbourne Age. He is a Fellow of the APS, Fellow of the CDAA and has PhD in Psychology.

Jim's clients have included Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, Audit Office, Department Primary Industries, ANU, Finametrica, Sigma Pharmaceuticals and Datacom, to name but a few. He also regularly works with individual clients confronted with career transition.

NZQA Regional Workshop for Teachers & Whanau

This one-day workshop is aimed at helping teachers, students and whanau get a better understanding of NCEA and the NQF.

The teachers' workshop is particularly relevant for new teachers or teachers/careers staff who would like to know more about the Framework so they may assist students with subject choices. 

There are 3 modules, including understanding NCEA options and the NQF; Te Waharoa; and assessment, moderation and quality assurance.

In the evening there will be a workshop for whanau and students.

The workshops will be delivered by experienced NZQA staf
