ETITO Teachers' Forum
If you're offering advice to students considering a career in
the trades, you'll want to be at our teacher's forum in Auckland on
12 August. We're looking for careers advisers, Gateway
coordinators, technology and electronics teachers.
This (free) one-day event will equip you with a lasting
understanding of where trades are at today, what employers are
looking for, and which students are suited for an
apprenticeship.
In a series of workshops with business leaders who regularly train
apprentices you'll hear directly what it's like out in today's
workforce. You'll also have an opportunity to give feedback to
industry association representatives on what schools would like to
see from industry. And of course there will be a great lunch and
plenty of time to chat and network with your peers.
Run in partnership with the Electrotechnology Association (ETA)
and other key players from the electrotechnology and
telecommunications industries, this is the second time we're
hosting this forum, after a successful and enjoyable day last year.
The event will be held at Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre on 12
August.
