2011 CONFERENCE DRAFT PROGRAMME SCHEDULE AND WORKSHOP PROGRAMME NOW ON WEBSITE

The Conference Team is delighted to advise that our Programme Schedule and Workshop Programme are now posted on the Conference website.  Both documents are still in draft form as we are updating frequently.  There has been a change to the New Zealand Defence Forces' speaker, which will be posted once details are confirmed.  There are also further workshops to be added.  We are sure there will be plenty to keep you all busy and interested next month.

What about the evenings?

Due to popular request, we are once again hosting our Cocktail evening (Wednesday) in the beautiful Blue Baths.  Those of you staying within walking distance of the Conference venue will find this nearby also.

Rotorua by Night field trips will run on Thursday evening at a variety of times.  Details of what is available will be posted on the website and sent out in a newsletter to delegates closer to Conference time.  We anticipate that many of you may already have plans for that evening but we thought we'd offer an alternative for those who'd like it.  The field trips will be self-funded (our team is busy trying to get the best prices!) and must be booked and paid for in advance.  Details to come.

And to top it all, Friday night sees our CATE Conference "Back to the Future" dinner.  In our plenary sessions and workshops we will be focussing on the future.  So, to close the Conference, we are heading back to the nostalgic past with our theme, KIWIANA.  It promises to be a fantastic evening of fun, food, friends and frivolity.  Dress code will be smart, casual (although in the spirit of the occasion, we may accept black singlet and gumboots).

For those of you heading off to holidays, all the very best for a relaxing two weeks.  For those of you going to the World Cup - may YOUR team win.
