Career Services appoints new management team

Lester Oakes, Chief Executive, has announced:

"The Operations Leadership Team who will be leading this
work is:

Dale Bailey, Area Manager Northern - Dale joined Career Services in
April 2007 as Regional Manager for Counties Manukau.  Over the last year he has been working on the redevelopment of our career education programme for schools, which drew on his extensive career in secondary education and his work with the Education Review Office.

Ross Jones, Area Manager Central North - Ross has nearly thirty years experience in the careers industry; the last 13 years as Waikato
Regional Manager for Career Services.  A particular interest in ?careers
in the community? and promoting the broad relevance of career
development has led Ross to co-organising the successful Career Paths
Waikato Expo.

David Bradbury, Area Manager Central South - David has a strong
background in management and education. After moving from the United Kingdom in 2002 he worked in the Schools Performance team at the Ministry of Education for three years.  He joined Career Services in
2005 as Service Delivery Coordination Manager at national office.

Pete McBeth, Area Manager Southern - Pete is originally from South
Canterbury and began his involvement with the careers industry while
living in Timaru over 20 years ago.  For the last seven years Pete has
held the position of Career Services Regional Manager Southern.  Prior
to joining Career Services in 1990 he worked for the Department of
Labour and New Zealand Employment Service.

Our local offices in each area will be headed up by a Practice Leader
who will lead a team of career consultants.  We are still in the process
of appointing these Practice Leaders, so please continue to contact your usual Career Services career consultant or the respective Area Manager listed above.

In addition to the above appointments, I would also like to confirm
Janet Brown as the General Manager Operations who the above Area
Managers will report to.  Janet will be working closely with Susan Kosmala, General Manager Service Development.  Susan and her new team will lead the development of innovative career services that we will deliver via the web, through our advice line and in local communities.

The changes we have introduced are about getting the right level of
career information and support to help many more people make the best
career decisions. This is particularly relevant in the current economic
and employment environment."
