    Call for Abstracts

    The 21st Annual Conference of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) will consider the links between career and workplace development and the role career development plays in addressing national skills and social inclusion issues.

    It will explore how quality career practice delivers positive outcomes for organisations, educational institutions and individuals of all ages and will feature diverse sector views and approaches to designing and implementing relevant programs and interventions.

    CDAA is pleased to invite abstracts for Concurrent Workshops addressing one or more of the following conference themes:
    •    Social inclusion
    •    Career transitions
    •    Workforce/career development
    •    Career development in organisations
    •    Business and entrepreneurial skills for career practice

  • CDANZ October 6th breakfast event: Anne Rundle - Move over Freud

    Anne Rundle will be giving a presentation titled "Move over Freud"  - examining the role of self in Career Guidance.
     
    This session will consider:
    - what the self is
    - finding a lost self
    - our self versus their self      
     
    Anne is a Registered Psychologist, a careers counsellor, a workplace coach, runs a busy Development Centre, and is also a lecturer; teaching in the areas of communication, psychology, and career guidance in three educational institutions.
     
    Anne has many years of work based experience in roles managing organisational change, staff development, and evaluating and auditing interpersonal and organisational relationships. Her main interest areas are workplace contentment, and she does this by working with management to ensure all staff are performing to their potential. Anne also works with employees to establish and reach their career goals, and has an interest in using cognitive behaviour therapy techniques to help employees who are experiencing workplace bullying. Anne also runs professional development sessions for managers and professional supervision for career practitioners.
