2012 Terms Of Reference For CIAGE (Careers, Information, Advice, Guidance and Education Review)
Following on from a meeting very late in December
with Maggie Hames, Sue Roberts and Mary Norris (Past President,
President and Secretary of CATE) Mai Chen and Marina Matthews at
Chen Palmer and Associates have been engaged to represent CATE to
help with advocacy in regard to the CIAGE review ( CIG grant).
Over January the National Executive will be preparing
a core document that Mai Chen will use to lobby for these changes.
Part of her expectations of help provided to CATE will be in the
shape of a Law Reform to make the position of CA's in school a
legal integrated part of secondary schools education. This would
result in a well resourced and respected position that delivers
best practice.
We will be asking each region for a report
that contains their members feedback on this. Please note that this
will be first week of February. We know that it is a hectic time
but if we all want to be busy in 2013 it is imperative
that our collective voice of CATE is heard now.
See the attached terms of reference for this
review.
IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT DOCUMENT RELATING TO
CAREERS WITHIN EDUCATION THAT YOU MAY EVER READ.
