Consultation on this is open from now until 15 September,

Tēnā koutou,

Earlier today, Minister Stanford announced a proposal to replace NCEA with a new national qualification pathway to improve its coherence and credibility.

The consultation on this proposal is open from now until 15 September, which gives us time to hear from you, your networks, and anyone else looking to provide their feedback.

You can find the full details in our discussion document on the consultation homepage here:

Consultation on proposal to replace NCEA (education.govt.nz)

We encourage you to promote the consultation with your members so that your voices are heard.

You can have your say through the survey between now and 15 September and email any questions or additional feedback to us at [email protected]

We are also holding a series of webinars from 11 August to help kaiako and leaders understand the proposed changes and how they might impact their practice. If you think your members would be interested in participating, they can sign up via the consultation homepage.

If you’re a subject association who is impacted by these changes, further information and details of hui will be provided to you in the coming week.

Thank you for the ongoing support of your members and your subject area.

 Nāku noa, nā

Pauline
