To CATE members,

Greetings from Invercargill – in the words of Tim Shadbolt! Kia ora koutou and welcome to the CATE Conference of 2017 to be celebrated in the deep south in Invercargill commencing on Wednesday 15th of November and concluding on Friday 17th of November.  The venue for this year’s conference is the ILT Stadium a world class facility used for international netball games. The stadium is connected to SIT Velodrome used for international cycling. Both these venues will provide state of the art facilities.

It’s ten years since the Southland CATE has hosted the conference and we are excited to be hosts again.

Our theme for 2017 is Change from the South.

Our four strands from that theme are:

  • The Changing world of work;
  • Southern ideas making a change;
  • Changing to save the regions;
  • Changing perceptions of Trades and Primary Industries.

Southland CATE has already secured some wonderful southern born speakers who have made changes in the south and worldwide.

Follow the conference website to keep up to date with the latest developments for the 2017 Conference and read about the confirmed speakers.

We look forward to seeing you in November.
